2014 OVERVIEW

IT has been one of the longest years of my humble life, and yet it was filled with every color of the emotional spectrum. Love, hate, dissapointment, happiness, dispair, worry... I lost a couple of friends on the way, gained some new, scored some successful achievements and changed a couple of postcodes and countries. I learned a lot of lessons and a year later I consider myself not wiser, but more patient.

A positively awesome lady, with whom I work told me "Patience, my dear, is all you need in life" and as I think about it I realize she was write. Even if you want to move castles, mountains and what not it will never happen unless the right moment has come.

I am 24 years old now, only glimsed at the worlds treasures form the rims of old and new books.. I want to change and evolve and I have a few trustworthy and loving friends to help me. I might have given more to charity and less to business, but alas I am drawn to money.

My new years resolutions are strange as they can be, but objective as possible:

1. Live healthier
2. Communicate with your friends more often
3. Don't bother about the ignorance of others
4. Dare yourself
5. Be kinder and more compationate

What are yours New Year's Resolutions, loved ones?

Always yours

A NEW HOME IS A NEW BEGINNING they say

IT has been a week since your beloved LDN Girl changed her dwelling place. Her humble self now occupies a cosy bedroom on the second floor of in a three bedroom house in the lovely area of Gants Hill. Close to various shops, cafes and mostly pubs she finally feels at peace. It is not with regret that she remembers the days spend in Brussels with one of her most beloved and admittedly craziest friends of all… the ladiest ladybug of them all, but with love and betraying giggles of remembrance!
But today I will not write about my homesickness ( if my friends defy my home) but of my newest adventure which included decoration, cleaning and most of all saving myself from a shower of squirrels who are now the friendly occupants of my backyard. I shall not even think of the aggrieving way in which I was forced out of my old “home”. People with thin souls make me sad, but it is to their loss not to mine.

So there it goes. My charming new home has everything but book shelves and lots and lots of candles, but soon amends will be made. The last two days I devoted to refurbishing and decorating and in two days’ time my faithful knight in shining armour would help me to build my own bookshelves to fill with the adventures of other heroes and heroines, for now, I am doomed satisfy my hunger for dreams with movies and with books from the library. I have been reading about witches and moths and had given one too many nights to modern drama and of course philosophy of making popcorn with extra butter.

I joined the nearest library and the medical centre just in case the neighbours want to keep my insanity under strict observation and not the least I have trained myself in the mysterious art of lock-changing and fixing toasters, and fridges. What can I say I am a bitch, I’m a lover, I’m a warrior, I’m a mechanic, I’m a painter, I’m a cleaner… I do not feel ashamed! And what is more I have bettered myself in losing my way around East London. Although the close vicinity of Valentines Park tempts me to lose my way around the park I still do not possess the courage to do so by myself.

I did some jogging and I have put my mind on swimming again, but one step at a time… Do not rush me into life… Have patience as my life goes more and more exciting…

So here I am:
Same LDN Girl
Different post code
Ever thine
Ever mine
Ever ours

LAPTOPLESS TO LAPTOPFUL

THERE is nothing I love more than a rainy day. And luckily enough London has a lot to offer on that bit :) It is the only time when I get to cuddle guiltless with a book and tea and have some me time. And I admit, almost proudly,  I have embezzled my coach for quite a while recently... I am a villain, a scoundrel and mostly a book addict, sue me!

Yes, yes, I know there would be a lot of scolding on your behalf, because it has been ages since I last blogged, but please, bear with me for a while until I tell you my latest and my not so fresh stories from the last couple of weeks.

No longer than to two days after my last blog, my laptop - my dear, poor, old Chekhov (don't laugh it is one of my peculiarities: I name my technology and you are in no need to hear how I named my camera and my phone) fell under the vicious spell of a virus and lost all its video, internet and audio drivers. As a person devoted to her online activities it is surprising to admit that I took it quite calmly. I didn't rush fixing the damn machine, because I decided to embark on a journey of simple living, away from technology and closer to nature and people.

I am not a sociopath you know, I do love communicating and mingling, occasionally. Besides as the end of October was approaching I was all excited about my first Halloween here - pumpkin carving, Supernatural marathon, cupcake baking and of course the casual Trick or Treating. Nothing magical or extraterrestrial, I promise, but I ended up with a new hair color and plans for transforming myself into a pink-haired mystical book lover, or better yet a librarian.

I haven't gone totally bonkers, have I? I do admit having one too many hot chocolate drinks, but still I am pretty sure sugar has no hold on my brains, yet :D

And now almost a month later I am back to "normal" and catching up with my cyber-self and most of all continuing with my blog. The one thing I am really pleased with from my month away is that I finally got back on track with my sleeping habits. I am no longer an owl, I am a regularly sleeping gal.

So this is it, my friends. Keep following my blog for more of the stories of a LDN Girl with a working laptop...

DAY 16 LDN AQUATIS CENTER

SIXTEEN days I waited to dive into the 50 m Olympic pool :) No, I lied! I have been waiting for that precious moment ever since I saw it completed back in 2012 for the Olympic Games. Two precious and long years filled with buzz and daydreaming.

I never shared with you that I have a brother. As a Special Olympic athlete he already has various achievements and lots of gold medals in swimming. We are all proud with his two gold medals from the Special Olympic Games in Shanghai 2007.

So you see I have to keep up with the legacy. Of course, I do not compete or anything. I just enjoy the water and mostly try not to drawn or hit into people.

Sometimes I feel like the only penguin a family of swans. Both my parent have Captain's License, thus, they are required to swim perfectly, my brother is a professional swimmer and I swim like buoy :D:D:D Good thing I didn't by a red swimsuit :)

My first day at the pool as you can image was filled with various emotions ranging from pure joy to pure panic and a hell of water was swallowed... do not worry there is still water in the pool! I promise!!!

I am looking forward to my next day at the pool. Follow me for more updates on the LDN GIRL craze!

DAY 12 BACK ON TRACK

WHILE the 11th day was marked by a slowing down of pace, the 12th picked up at high speed: official UK Drivers licence, visit to the Hunterian Museum, tickets from the 9 3/4 Shop at King's Cross Station and an adorable memorabilia from the famous platform. What can a girl want more?!

Well, who knows?!

A girl's needs and wishes are a mystery even to herself, right?

Yet another sweet bonus to my marvelous day, was that fact that my LDN Boy took me to a wonderful Italian restaurant and treated me with pasta and wine. Romance is still alive people - it dwells in the same realm as geekiness and  hunger for science. Yes, you heard right Science and Magic go hand in hand in my world.

OKAY, okay, I reveal myself completely: Your LDN Girl has a thing for a different kind of S&M
(pun definitely intended)

Sweet dreams, my little gremlins. Dream of cupcakes and of magic! May all your secret wishes come true!

xoxo

Forever yours,

LDN GIRL

DAY 10

THE days here are a thread of beads. Colorful. Charming. Relaxing. Bright with emotion. One follows the other in perfect harmony. Sightseeing is the most glorious experience that celebrates my hunger for knowledge and new information.

Hyde Park, the target place of today's journey, proved all expectations and brought even more to us - two drifters off to see the world. With its endless fields and playful birds it helped me make amends for the long journey towards today.

I fell in love with the Autumn sun today, and I would yearn for its warmth forever. I found within me and endless summer :)

Goodnight, my dear friends. Dream of the woods and the calmness of times long forgotten and outdated.
And tomorrow as you run through your busy schedule stop for a second and take a deep breath.

LDN GIRL 101

IT has been a week and two days since I arrived in London, UK. Just graduated from a MA in Communication Studies and Media I am full of excitement and mischief :).

I walk the streets, talk the talks and look the looks. I feel the world trembling beneath my humble feet, creating the paths of a new life full of action. Fascinated by the colorful whirl of culture, art, history and music, I fill my lungs with London air and hope that my heart won't explode in a glorious hue of emotions.

This is me, young and ecstatic!

Writing from a new postcode, with new attitude, I greed all the readers who were so sweet as to engage with this "diary" of newbie in LDN.

I am looking forward to sharing more of my stories with you!
